New update to alpha posted!


Quick update. The following changes have been made;

  1. Mood icons display issue has been fixed. Now when you're fighting a battle it should display them correctly.
  2. Art in the starting bar has been updated.
  3. Flashing lights from when Richard punches and when you win a battle have been dampened a little to not blind people.
  4. Coin explosion when you kill enemies is a little quieter.

Bugs I'm still aware of but not fixed yet:

  • Playing the game in Safari will have no sound. I literally just learned today that .mp3 files need to be included in order for sound to work on Safari. Since this is a web build and I'm just testing things, and since itch has a file limit, I'm holding off on that for now.
  • There's a weird big that crashes the game sometimes when you open a treasure chest next to where Aska is sleeping. It seems to only do it if you open it after beating Barnold. Still investigating why.
  • Some users reporting extreme lag at the final area of the jungle after winning a battle. I haven't been able to reproduce testing on my own machine. I suspect it has to do with the number of assets that map uses and the game having to load those online. IF that's the source, when we have a different map for that area it should fix it.
