An introduction to Absolution

Hello everyone! Persistent Dreamer Games here! We've been working on our game Absolution for some time and I realized that we haven't really posted much about it up until now. We're going to use this blog for more long term communication, in depth dev logs, feedback, things of that nature.
As it stands, we've already come a very long way and are nearing completion of our alpha. Isay "alpha" but really the people making art and assets are outpacing me, so by the time the alpha hits, we'll have a sizable chunk of the art ready for the demo!Currently, our team consists of 5 people. We have 2 portrait artists, a pixel artist, a musician / pixel artist, and myself. I do mostly everything else, the story, eventing, babby's first programming stuff, hunting down plug-ins and annoying people on forums about how to use them, you know typical dev stuff. I decided that after this flagship post, I'm giving access to all my content creators to be able to post here. That way you can get all of our thoughts on the creative process as it happens.
Absolution started as a story that I had in my head for years. After some time I did write out a short story in some form, but it wasn't a complete work in the least. A few years ago, I made the decision that these characters deserve to have their story told, so I decided to make a game and shared the idea on RPGmaker forums. It was a strong positive reaction there. Since then, the project has been slowly snowballing but it feels like our momentum is really staring to pick up, so we'll share peaks and insights and what have you as we go. I'll start my next post with info about what the game is and what we're about, but you may get posts from some of the other artists before then!
